In Spring friendship blossoms

Honoured guests with the children

Renewing old friendships and introducing new friends Manabu Kobayashi, the Honorary Consul of Japan made recent return visit to St Margaret’s Hospice in Bucharest. An old friend and member of the Charity’s international family of care, he bought some fellow citizens to visit the children. Everyone received a warm welcome especially this much-loved Honorary Consul as the children rushed to show him the new skills they had acquired since they all last saw one another.

The children had a little surprise by way of a hand crafted photo frame, which they had hand painted just for him and in return, the kids received a traditional Japanese gift meant to protect them and bring good fortune to the centre.

Our Japanese visitors were interested to learn all about St Margaret’s and the background of each of the children and they discussed the medical, social and care services provided by the hospice and children’s centre

Towards the end of their visit, our visitors made a small yet generous donation to help the work of our centre and children. They also offered a solemn promise to return in the future and spend more quality time in the company of the children. Everyone at St Margaret’s feels extremely blessed to have big the support of big-hearted friends like Honorary Consul Kobayashi and is guests; we would like to thank them for their generosity and to wish them continued good health. May they all have a happy and bountiful spring!
