CHILDREN, TEENAGERS AND SENIOR CITIZEN enjoy “The Cup of Generations”


Generations on the move

Help, Hope & Hospice (HHH) the newest partner in our Children in Distress Charity Alliance, together with the Town Hall of Bucharest Sector 6 and commercial sponsor ELECTROMONTAJ recently organised a chess-championship for children, teenagers and senior citizen. The event took place on Saturday, the 13th of May 2017, in the impressive setting of the historic ‘Golescu Grant Mansion’, in Bucharest

Starting a 10.00 hours, this new chess-championship entitled “The Cup of Generations” was a good opportunity to bring together children, teenagers, and senior citizen from different walks of life, to exchanged views and experiences, whist promoting chess as a beneficial way to spend spare time. In all, there were 38 participating players – 19 senior citizen and 19 children/teenagers and about 50 interested spectators. Everybody involved, certainly enjoyed their couple of hours of quality time.

His honour, Gabriel Mutu, the Mayor of Bucharest Sector 6, and Gabriel Oprea, the representative of  sponsor, ELECTROMONTAJ, presented the participant’s  prizes and spent time chatting with the participants and the spectators.
