Nicoleta is “Moving on up and Moving on out“

When Nicoleta D was first admitted to St Andrew’s Hospice in Pitesti, she was a very sick little girl battling the aftermath if infection that had slowly crippled her and deprived her of the ability to communicate. She was highly dependent on intensive care and a high degree of breathing support, impossible for her very loving and attentive family to provide at home. Over the last three years as her condition has responded and turned around, she has been an ever more important member of the Centre’s little family of care and she has developed warm and very meaningful relationships with the members of her personal care team and the therapy professionals, who have worked so hard to ensure that she can maximise her potential.

Local County Child Protection Officials have recently identified Pitesti’s Trivale Services Centre for Disabled Children as offering a different range of care and rehabilitation services, more appropriate, to her latest stage of development.  Accordingly, a team comprising a specialist nurse, child psychologist, teacher and the Trinvale Centre Manager recently visited St Andrew’s to discuss Nicoleta’s current medical condition and to liaise on care, rehabilitation and physiotherapy treatment plans to facilitate her transfer. 

With Finger crossed, her St Andrew’s family are sure that Nico will continue to blossom and bloom in good health. Obviously, and they will keep in touch with the medical team and her family to make sure everything goes well. Good luck and best wishes from us all!
