Another great reason to be happy around Easter

Father Catalin and Andrei shortly before Andrei\'s Immersion

Andrei the newest resident at St Margaret’s is just five-months old, a couple of days ago, he became one of the St Margaret’s extended family His mum a teenager with addiction issues, abandoned him in a hospital, shortly after his birth. Children in Distress Romania has stepped to offer Andrei a doting surrogate family, a loving  home, care and protection, and the warmest of welcomes to St Margaret’s.  He will be showered with the love and care he deserves, by a wonderful dedicated care team and will be offered the chance to thrive and reach his full potential.

On Tuesday, third of April, Oana, one of St Margaret’s psychotherapists, became Andrei’s Godmother when he was baptised in the local church by Father Catalin. Father Catalin is one of St Margaret’s most trusted volunteers, is a firm favourite with the kids as he visits them every month, and enjoys bringing Holy Communion, kind words and prayers to soothe their souls. Andrei’s his bright and curious so he seemed to scan the baptism party, the gathered witnesses, the beautifully painted surrounding taking in the entire event. All the children were thrilled to be allowed to take part and could not wait to get back the centre to share their impressions and enjoy some a delicious slice of homemade pizza with the care team.

The warmest of welcomes, Andrei! perhaps you may soon have the child sponsors you need  to help you maximise your potential and make your way in life.
