Top StoryYou Saw It Here Firstnew therapy suite in the making Keeping You Up To Date It's a race against time as the workforce tries to get the structural work on the St Nicholas' Child Development Centre completed for the end of the month. The project had been dogged by set backs with a builder who consistently failed to deliver the goods, literally and metaphorically. Structural steel work was half completed and left structurally unsound, the main building was damaged and left open to the elements for months, the children's sensory garden was like a battlefield and we have even had a 5.2 force Richter Scale earthquake. New Builder Offers Hope and Quality Workmanship The new team of builders, supervised and project managed by Paul Kubaszky, our local Administration Director, continue to do an exceptional job and the promise of an early completion looks like being delivered. We will at least get the main therapy treatment suites back into the swing with programmes for infants and children already enrolled for our unique individually tailored therapy. Funds Are At A Premium Being so dependent on donations to fund our work, funds are at a premium given the world-wide financial crisis. However, it is hoped to phase the internal finishing works as soon a possible to allow much need therapy and treatment space to come on stream. Over 3000 children in greater Bucharest need our CDC. Children in Distress does not do miracles but it is amazing what TLC can do. Please help with donations by contacting Isabel Davis on 0141 559 5693. |
