Top StoryCelebration and Jubilation- Getting Ready for the Diamond JubileeCelebration bunting on show this month Christine Busfield from the All Saints, Young-at-Heart supporters group at Preston, near Hull has been busy making bunting in readiness for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Christine's bunting has laminated photos of our children in between the bunting flags, which makes it very special and unique to Children in Distress.
She sent a large quantity of it to Jane Russell who gave some of it its first outing at the Community Day held at St Peter's Church, Norton in Malton recently. As Jane had no means of hanging it, she pinned it round her table and it was the source of much conversation.
During the Jubilee celebrations, it will adorn the thrift shop at Kirkbymoorside and will be used at numerous events during this Jubilee year. |
