“Art with Heart” Romania’s First and Best Charity Art Auction

"Art with a Heart" is a joint initiative that shows that Romania’s artists and the art community really cares for children who need their help. They have rallied to Romania’s first Charity Art Auction in aid of the terminally and incurably ill infants and children care for by Children in Distress,(www.cid.org.ro or www.childrenindistress.org )a UK charity, which for the last twenty years has led the way in paediatric hospice care and child development.

From 15^thSeptember, Ovidiu Gavosh and Ioan Dohot will host a pre-auction exhibition of oil paintings at the “Gavorche Antique” Galleryat no 89 Polona Street in Bucharest Sector 1. This will include oil paintings, watercolours and graphic art by some of Romania’s most famous contemporary artists (Arthur Verona, Paul Verona, Kimon Loghi, R. Iosif, Mina Byck Wepper, Magdalena Radulescu, Coca Metianu, Ion Alin Gheorghiu, Traian Bradean, Ion Grigore, Vasile Grigore.

Artists and sponsors have kindly committed 50% of the proceeds of the sale to sponsor two of the palliative and terminal care beds and services in the infant’s ward of St Margaret’s Children’s Hospice in Bucharest.

Art lovers, artists, collectors and friends of the charity are cordially invited to attend this Gala Auction and Reception on the evening of Thursday 27 September at 6.00PM. Pre-auction refreshments and canapé from Chez Marie Restaurant will be available as will the chance to invest some of the best art pieces made available this year.
