“Surprise, Surprise”, from the Jaden Cornelious Foundation

Jaden Cornelious is a young man much loved by the children and staff at St Margaret’s Hospice in Bucharest, whose visits are eagerly awaited. The staff adore him for his good looks, charm,  personality and wonderful singing voice; the kids just because he is a really nice man, kind and ready to share his time, who has infinite patience and  clearly adores seeing them having fun.  By public demand Jaden has twice set aside time in his busy life and career to headline the cabaret at CID Ro’s winter fundraising event, making many Romanian admirers and friends in the process.

Seven or so years ago, Jaden set up a Charitable Foundation to raise funds for good causes and over the years he and a dedicated band of helpers and supporters have raised and gifted over £50.000 to a wide range of good causes.  Jaden and a host of helpers raise funds by hosting a range of inventive fundraising events such as quiz nights, a sponsored fire walk and musical evenings and the good that they do is infinite. The children at St Margaret’s and their friends in projects across Romania and Moldova have also benefitted from gifts-in-kind donated through toy collections and contributed through the Charity’s Shoebox Appeals.

Recently, Valentina Zaharia and the children at St Margaret’s were surprised and thrilled to receive an exceptional and very special cheque to the value of £2670 from Jaden Cornelious Fundraising to be spent specifically for the benefit of the children in the hospice.

Everyone at Children in Distress is thrilled that Jaden and his team of London volunteers have chosen the children in our care as beneficiaries of all their hard work. Darius and Maria, two of Jaden’s friends pictured receiving the cheque, sent him a special personal message “Vă mulţumesc şi trimite vă sărutări va ne vedem în curând?” -Thank you and we send you kisses, will we see you soon?    That says it all Jaden, from all of us” Thank you for Being a Friend” and thanks to the JCF volunteer team for being part of our family of care.
