Bianca’s Birthday Surprise, Curtea de Arges

Bianca and her candles

Becoming 12 years old is one of the major milestones in life.  Bianca became 12 on the 25th of February. In the last year life has not been great, her mum left home and she is now cared for by her Dad and her paternal Grandmother. Sensitive to the underlying sadness in this little girl, the St Christopher’s team decided to bring a little joy to her life by organizing a surprise birthday party.

The other children were in on the surprise and helped organise the event, choosing a Violeta themed cake (Violeta being Bianca’s favourite cartoon character) her favourite juice and even helped select the lovely clothes that made up her surprise birthday present. Bianca was totally overwhelmed when her friends started to sing “Happy birthday” and she could barely hold her tears back, and her little hands were shaking as she glanced at her cake to read the message written on the icing.

She had a great time her friends and thanked everyone for supporting her, though good times and bad and for organising the party. She really liked her new clothes and some of which were very much needed. The CID achieved another goal in their mission, to bring smiles and joy in a child’s life. Happy birthday, Bianca and may all your dreams and wishes come true!
