A new life begins for Maria

Maria settling into her new home

On Friday 1st of April three St Margaret’s little family left to start a new life. Maria finally moved to the home of the Ungureanu family, who have offered to adopt her. With their help, Maria has adapted pretty quickly to her new home since she had a series of planned visits and family outings over several weeks. They have really got to know one another well and her new parents and new sister have done everything necessary to make sure that Maria has all she needs both to settle in and for the future. They have prepared her room and bought her new toys and clothes so she cut quite a dash with her friends at kindergarten. To help settle in as part of the family Maria was made  ciulama de pui (chicken in a white sauce) her favourite lunch and she made sure she used her very best table manners before slipping off for a little ‘siesta’ in her own beautifully little bedroom

Hopefully with the goodwill of Ungureanu family the St Margaret’s team can maintain a close relationship with Maria and she can continue her rehabilitation, physiotherapy speech and language and cognitive-behavioural therapy sessions provided at S Nicholas Child Development Centre
