A bright new beginning for little Maria

Maria on the balcony of her new home

Time flies so quickly when you are five, at it hardly seems a week since Maria joined her new “forever” family, but it has been a week full of activity as they really get to know one another and Maria gets used to strange surroundings Some things remain the same and Maria is still at kindergarten with her old friends and class mates. Daddy (Mr Ungureanu) has adjusted his timetable so that he can take Maria to the kindergarten and pick her up to take her back home. Like any other loving, caring parent with a five year old he now keeps in touch with Maria’s teachers to find out about his little girl’s progress and with her pre-school homework.

Maria loves to play with her older sister whom she calls “Ili” and to be an integral part of the various family activities. At bed time, Maria asks her new Mum, to hold her hand while she falls asleep and she sleeps well just in the company of her lovely new teddy bear. Each member of the family spends quality time with Maria and she has already settled   in and is learning   to adapt to having a family of her own.

On Sundays, the whole family goes to Church where Maria can get together with her much loved Sister Casiana, with whom she has developed a very special bond over the years at St Margaret’s.  The rest of the time Maria makes sure to phone  Casiana and tell her about her latest adventures and experiences.

Last Sunday, Sister Casiana having met the family at the monastery, in which she lives, shared her relief that Maria is happy, radiant, outgoing and ever  willing to interact with people and  to charm them with her adorable and tender personality.

We wish Maria lots of happiness, tons of love and a beautiful new life shared with her “forever” family. Have a great life and bright future.
