”We are ready for that close-up now, Mr DeMill”

Lights, action, Smile !

With the much needed help and support and using a generous donation from  Children in Distress Foundation, on May 9th, the St Andrew’s team purchased a new camera, ready to take unforgettable photos and capture the important moments in the lives of the children resident there.  Their new  Canon IXUS 160 model is portable and quite handy and ideal for  their  present needs.

The  centre’s old camera  purchased in 2003, is obselet  and now slightly out of focus and all photos lack today’s coveted level of clarity.  As the care team  very much enjoy offering sponsors, supporters and friends a glimpse into every day life at the Centre and little meomento mori of the  milestones proudly reached by the children and staff, it was  decided it was time to make the  investment.

The need was shared with Children in Distress and, as usual, they immediately answered the call to action, the team  can now take quality shots, using the new camera’s quick and easy settings. The camera also detects multiple faces in a single frame, making sure they remain in focus and we were very excited to try it out. The carers  took some photos of Madalina, the newest member of the CID extended family. All photos turned out great and the camera remained in focus, offering optimum brightness and clarity with each frame.

St Andrew’s team  thank everyone at CID,  supporters and friends for their devotion and care and for always being there for our children.
