Tania Lungu’s grandparents pop by for a surprise visit! What sheer delight!

A wonderful vist

In the week beginning 22nd of August, Tania had a wonderful visit, when  her Gran and Grandpa arrived at St Andrew’s to spend some quality time with their beloved granddaughter. And they didn’t come empty handed, bringing her a beautiful plush teddy bear, yoghurts and a pretty new blouse. The vist was truly special and since their visit Tania has been sleeping with her new plush friend. The moments spent with her grandparents clearly made a difference and were quite emotional for everyone involved. The Grandpa was particularly delighted to see his granddaughter as he is indeed very fond of her.

The visit was very important since he can’t visit her very often as his work prevents him from coming along as much as he would like. The couple also discussed their granddaughter’s health with her medical care team and were told of her future planned check-ups and tests, of her progress and problems and her current condition. They also expressed their delight about the quality of the centre’s care services and how well their granddaughter is being taken care of.

Such bonds and healthy family relationships are crucial for any child’s upbringing and especially important for children with special needs and the St Andrew’s  couldn’t be happier for Tania since she gets to enjoy the company of loved ones often, which instils a sense of belonging and stability and helping her make steady progress.
