New project, new skill, new hope!


Beautiful gift ready for sale 

This autumn brought a range of new, exciting useful and necessary activity for the   young residents, which improved their quality of life and on site activity. With the help and support of the centre’s specialists’, they learnt how to make decorative candles, to pour and mould ceramic figurines for painting they also made Christmas cards and learnt quilting technique using papers a special roller and a needle to shape and glue them to create various shapes. All the crafted objects had a Christmas theme focused on the joy of the winter holidays. Worked with care and dedication the result made everyone proud and content to be part of a life changing project, bringing hope our hope, no matter the challenges life puts forward.

 The hand-made objects were touched up and trimmed, decorated and nicely wrapped for early t December for a craft sale. Some of the objects were gifted to various partner institutions and those have helped and supported St Laurence over the years. The residents were very proud to share some of their work as a sign of appreciation. A large part of the hand-made stock was then put on display during an event organised in the large hall at Cernavoda Hospital. The Hospital’s manager organised the event knowing the youngster involved. Was result PositivPlus+ has signed a partnership agreement with the hospital. Another sale two-day display was organised in the Cernavoda Primaria. A lot of people decided to buy these nicely crafted objects as gift. After the winter vacation the youngsters will continue their projects and will craft other wonderful objects for the Spring Martisor Day and other Orthodox holidays.
