Name: Alisdair Barron MBE Title: Chief Executive & Executive President of Copii in Dificultate Department: Operations Location: Glasgow

Alisdair had a career as an HR professional and Director in industries as diverse as brewing, avionics, premier league football and the NHS in Scotland   Throughout his career he has maintained an interest in the care, education and development of disadvantaged children and young people with disabilities, particularly Autistic Spectrum Disorders. He is the longest serving member of the juvenile justice system in Scotland and  the Vice-Chair of the Board of City of Glasgow College the newest and largest college of further education in Scotland . He inspires  the teams delivering  innovative care projects for thousands of Romania's children abandoned as being chronically, incurably or terminally ill, touched by HIVAIDS or living the daily challenge of Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Name: May Biggam Title: Funding Development Manager CID UK Department: Operation's Support Location: Glasgow

May’s long and very successful career include roles as PA Secretary. in alcohol and drugs counselling,   events management, fundraising, membership development and visitor liaison with  both the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Her interest in the arts led to active participation in Glasgow’s famed  Apollo Players  and  roles in numerous amateur production as diverse West Side Story and Sweet Charity. May is acutely aware of the challenges and needs faced by the incurably  and terminally ill children cared for by Children in Distress in its hospices and community programmes and bring a lifetime of experience to finding the funds needed to give them the care they deserve. Name: Christina Borza Title: Administrator CIDRo Department: Copii in Dificultate Location: Bucharest

Christina Borza is key to the administration  of the charity in Romania , she joined the team over nine years ago having studied law today as CIDRo’s Administrator she handles all aspects finance, purchasing and administration .She is the essential link between the Directors and Romania’s burgeoning social care bureaucracy. Christina is the right handoff the charity’s Vice-Presidinte and Regional Director and has been affectionately christened CID’s“Keeper of the Faxes”.

Name: julian Dawydiak Title: Admistrator and Sponorship Champion CID UK Department: Administration Location: Glasgow

Julian Dawydiak, who recently joined out admin team, has worked in the voluntary sector for over fifteen years, previously for organisations that support children, minority communities and carers. His jobs have primarily centred on project development work in the area of information provision within both the charity sector and the NHS.   Julian will Champion our Child Sponsorship Programme, help improve research and make a significant contribution to our Public Relations, website and on -line communications. Name: (Sinita) Zaynab Hassan Title: Administrator CID UK Department: Operation's Support Location: Glasgow

Zaynab (or Sinita as she is known to her friends) joined the charity on leaving school, she is the longest serving member of our admin team and has grown in her role, now co-ordinating much of the charity's donor database and banking administration. Name: Sandra Kinloch Title: Administator CID UK Department: Administration and Finance Location: Glasgow

Sandra joins the Charity bringing a wealth of experience built up in a lifelong career as a senior secretary in Local government and retail. Latterly, Sandra provided secretarial and administrative support to the local Community Councils throughout the City of Glasgow   she has wide experience in working with and helping volunteers. Name: Paul Kubaszky Title: Regional Director & Vice-Presedinte CIDRo Department: Copii in Dificultate Location: Bucharest

A graduate economist and highly experienced finance director, latterly business entrepreneur and consultant, Paul had an exceptional career and played a key role in the modernisation and development of the power generation industry in both Romania and Iran. In 1990, he first set his talents to ensuring the success of Children in Distress projects and was instrumental in delivering projects in Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia and in Romania. Without Paul and his network of contacts and exceptional administrative ability Copii in Dificultate would not be the success it is today.

Name: Jane Russell Title: Funding Development Manager North and Midlands Department: Operation's Support Location: Kirkbymoorside, Yorkshire

With long and distinguished career as a Personal Assistant, Secretary and gifted Administrator in  education, commerce  and industry. Jane long since successfully master the challenge of being a very active working mum and doting grandmother . She also plays  a very active role in the local Kirkbymoorside community. Name: Valentina Zaharia Title: Exective Director & Project Director St Margaret's Complex Department: Copii in Dificultate Location: St Margaret's Bucharest

Valentina is a graduate social worker, who joined Children in Distress in1998 and is the inspiration for many of the charity's projects and programmes delivered from St Margaret's Care Complex. In her wider role as Executive Director,she was instrumental in achieving full National Authority for Child Protection registration for all of Copii in Dificultate's projects and she has organised the Charity's acclaimed Autism Conference programme.
