“Birthdays come but once a year” and bring Alexandru gifts and cheer.

Alexandru and his new trainers

On Tuesday 6th of March, Alexandru Moroaca passed another key milestone and turned 19 years of age. Staff members from Children in Distress Foundation helped him celebrate his big day and arrived with gifts and messages of love and good wishes from the care team and from those sponsors who always have him in their hearts and prayers. They brought a thoughtful gift from Peter Jenkins who had sent him a nice present. Alexandru also received another thoughtful gift Christine Cook who had made it possible to buy presents he really needed. Alexandru was thrilled by this visit from “old” friends’ and by lovely surprise as he unwrapped his gift box, in which he found a new pair of trainers, just the brand   which he has been dreaming of for some time. Alexandru quickly shared that his new trainers certainly would come in handy, on a daily basis when he goes to school or out and about with friends from The Don Orione Association. The other gift of a radio-CD player will brighten his days as he can now listen to his favourite music and bands whenever he feels like it. Apparently, music now helps him get through hardest times and as a young adult, his passions and hobbies are ever changing, but at the moment, they include music and spending time with his friends.

Alexandru shares  his  thanks with  everyone who made the purchase of his beautiful gifts possible and he shared  that he would like to see members of the CID Ro team more often, whenever they, as he gets older he feels he can share his experiences with his friends and realises one can find solace and trust in few people. The CID Ro team wish him a belated “Happy Birthday  and many happy returns” and they  hope that he will experience many more  beautiful springs as he begins the next phase of life as a young adult almost ready to step out into the world.
