Since 2016, Amey PLC, have helped bring some Christmas joy to suffering children in Romania by taking part in the annual “Love in a Box campaign”, run by Children In Distress.

Over the last four years Graham Sloan, Operations Manager has been instrumental in helping us build our relationship with Amey. A relationship that started with two Amey janitors, Robert Colquhoun and Charlie Mochan, based at Springburn Academy, using their community involvement day to drive from Glasgow to Potto to deliver over 470 brightly wrapped shoeboxes for the Children in Distress Love In A Box Christmas appeal.

Every year the relationship goes from strength to strength, and every year we see more and more of their employees becoming involved through their community involvement days. Amey even providing the van and fuel to transport the shoeboxes to Potto.

This year Graham chose to accompany Robert down to Potto and seen firsthand exactly what Children In Distress do and how Amey have helped.

Thank you Amey from everyone at CID
