Our Projects

The “Nicolae Iorga” Sunday School Keeping Romanian Language and Culture Alive in Hull

We provide a grant to the Nicolae Lorga Sunday School in Hull. Launched in March 2025, the project was created with one heartfelt purpose — to bring together Romanian families and help the next generation stay connected to their language, culture, and roots.

Every Sunday, the classrooms come alive with laughter, stories, and the sound of children discovering the beauty of the Romanian language. Through fun, structured lessons, creative cultural activities, and family-friendly community events, the project helps children grow in confidence, make new friends, and take pride in who they are.

More than a school, this is a community — a place where parents, teachers, and volunteers work hand in hand to nurture a love of learning and belonging. Together, they celebrate Romania’s rich traditions, history, and customs, while helping children build the bilingual skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

Hopes and Impact

The “Nicolae Lorga” Sunday School aims to:

  • Bring families together, creating a strong and supportive Romanian community in Hull.
  • Encourage bilingual development, building confidence at school and in daily life.
