Grant Application Guidelines and Criteria

 

Overview

The purpose of this grant is to support projects that align with our core objectives: strengthening communities, enhancing education, improving employment opportunities, and promoting well-being among young people and families.

Funding is available for initiatives in England, Scotland, and Romania, that demonstrate a clear commitment to these goals.

 

Grant Objectives

Projects applying for funding must address one or more of the following objectives:

Communities: Initiatives that create a supportive environment for children, families, and their communities. Projects should promote inclusion, social cohesion, and community resilience.

Education: Programmes that break down barriers to education, ensuring that children from disadvantaged backgrounds have equal opportunities to succeed. This includes mentoring, access to resources, and innovative learning approaches.

Work: Initiatives that empower young people with skills, opportunities, and support necessary to achieve meaningful and sustainable employment. Projects should focus on career development, vocational training, apprenticeships, and economic independence.

Wellbeing: Programmes that support young people’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being, creating environments where they can thrive. This may include mental health initiatives, physical and cultural activity programmes, and emotional support networks.

 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a registered charity, non-profit organisation, community group, or social enterprise.
  • Operate within Romania, England and Wales, or Scotland.
  • Demonstrate measurable impact in one or more of the grant’s focus areas.
  • Provide a clear project plan with defined objectives, outcomes, and a budget breakdown.
  • Show sustainability beyond the funding period where applicable.

 

Application Process

Applicants are required to submit:

  • A completed grant application form.
  • A detailed project proposal outlining the objectives, activities, and expected outcomes.
  • A budget breakdown, including how the funds will be allocated.
  • Evidence of previous successful projects (if applicable).
  • A timeline for project implementation and expected completion.
  • Details of key personnel and partners involved.

 

Funding Amounts

Grant amounts will vary depending on the scope and scale of the project. Applicants should indicate the level of funding required and justify the amount requested.

Grants will be awarded annually as a single grant for amounts £1,000 - £10,000

 

Assessment and Decision-Making

Applications will be assessed based on:

  • Alignment with the grant’s objectives.
  • Feasibility and clarity of the proposed project.
  • Demonstrated need and potential impact.
  • Organisational capacity to deliver the project effectively.
  • Long-term sustainability and scalability.

 

Reporting and Accountability

Successful applicants will be required to:

  • Provide periodic progress reports.
  • Submit a final report detailing the project’s impact.
  • Maintain financial transparency and accountability for grant expenditure.
